Kirke Saar is an experienced IT executive with a strong track background in technology leadership and management. She joined the IT and Development Centre of the Ministry of the Interior (SMIT) from the Nordic Investment Bank in Finland, where she led the organisation’s IT function. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Telia Norway, Telia Estonia, Swedbank Group IT and Eesti Energia, Estonia’s state-owned energy company.
Since April this year, has Saar been the Director General of SMIT, the government agency responsible for developing and managing information systems that support Estonia’s internal security.
