Joonas Heiter is the Director General of the State Information System Authority (RIA), an agency responsible for centralized public sector ICT platforms and functioning also as the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-EE).
Joonas is experienced expert and manager in ICT sector, holding a Master’s Degree in Telecommunication from Tallinn University of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Management and Marketing from University of Tartu. His career includes significant management roles in private sector entities within the telecommunications industry.
In 2018 Joonas joined RIA as the Data Exchange Department Manager and in 2022 became a member of the management board as the Director of State Information System/ Deputy Director General focusing on digital services. In 2024 Joonas was appointed as the Director General of RIA.
